To put it simply: everything that we do, we do to a plan.

From a simple logo re-design to a fully integrated digital campaign spanning months, everything is done to a plan. This might sound strange coming from people who describe themselves as "ideas-led", "creative", "passionate" and all the other emotive terms that (quite rightly) apply to our agency.

But we are above all professional in our approach to what we do for our clients; we are being entrusted with their hard earned money, and it's our job to provide them with a measurable return on their spend.

Which is why we apply the same processes to every project, however large or small. They keep us on track, which is why delivery of the end result is made to time, and to budget. This is not to say that we are slaves to procedure; quite the opposite. The essence of a good plan is that it should be adaptable, which is what we are.

How does this help our clients?

Managing their projects. Sometimes our clients have a clear idea of what they want to achieve, and how. Usually, however, they don't, which is perfectly reasonable because they are experts in their own field, not in ours. We help them define what needs to be done and how, and our processes enable us to keep them up to date with progress at any time.

Managing their expectations. This where honesty, professionalism and integrity play a crucial role in our work. We don't make exaggerated claims or promises about anything that cannot be guaranteed - from response rates to page ranks, from growth of market share to Twitter followers. What we can do is agree how the success of any given project is to be measured, set benchmarks and targets, and then set about exceeding them!

Coordinating campaigns. Where a project involves campaigns across a number of media, coordination and timing are of the utmost importance. Press advertisements, direct mail, email marketing, release of websites, dedicated web pages, blogs and social media, all have different lead-times, different effect life-spans, and different reaction times. This is what being "full service" and "integrated" is all about.

Meeting deadlines. For us, this is a "given", thanks to the processes that we have created to ensure that it happens.

Scoring a goal even if the posts have been moved. We accept that priorities and objectives are subject to change, even though they have been signed off and agreed. It happens in every business all of the time, so there's no point in being precious or inflexible when it happens. Part of the beauty of having established processes in place is that we can evaluate the effect of any change of plan on our own and our clients' businesses, calculate the correcting measures needed, and react accordingly. Then - back on track again!
