Project Description

With an existing website that was providing zero visibility on any of the major search engines for Solent based key phrases, 4Charter came to us with one main goal; ‘to achieve top search engine rankings for rib, yacht and barge charters across the Solent area’. Without the allocated funds to implement a full search engine marketing campaign we had to fit their requirements around their budget.

Solution

The solution was simple but had to be effective. Using an existing logo we set to work in putting together a fresh and simple design to emphasise 4Charter and its service offerings. Without the option of a search engine marketing campaign at this stage of the project our focus lay on some intense search engine optimisation. The website was built using the latest XHTML and CSS technology to ensure the search engines could place 4Charter effectively and quickly. With help from our search engine marketing specialist, 4Charter were able to come up with some great content to help the place on the search engines for key phrases including ‘rib charter Solent’ and ‘boat maintenance Solent’.

Result

After only 2 months after the website went live, 4Charter are now positioned all over the major search engines for over 80% of their agreed key phrases. The new design, and easy to navigate structure has assisted visitors into placing enquires which has given 4Charter the opportunity to convert more sales and build their client base. After physically experiencing the potential success related to being visible on the search engines, 4Charter are now keen to implement a full search engine marketing strategy during the winter of 07/08 once they have had some time to regain their thoughts after a summer of success.
