Gatehouse Bed and Breakfast has been providing their accommodation services for around two years and were recommended by friends to implement an online web strategy in order push their business into the local Chichester area.
The website was needed primarily as an online brochure and did not have the need for any advanced PHP functionality. The main purpose of the website was to generate increased awareness in the local area as well as give the business increased visibility for seasonal events such as the famous Goodwood races and Festival of Speed.

We recommended a simple, clean and easy to navigate design with full search engine optimisation to ensure they achieved results on all the major search engines including Google, Yahoo and MSN.
Their budget was limited which meant they could not implement a full search engine marketing strategy, but were able to ensure their website was fully optimised and accessible.
We provided full content consultancy to help them write effective content that would ensure they achieved the best results possible on the search engines. As well as content, the website was built using fully valid XHTML and CSS which also help us to ensure the website was interoperable between the leading Internet browsers.
Result
The website has been live for 4 months now and is now visible on all the major search engines for search terms including ‘bed and breakfast Chichester and accommodation Chichester. Gatehouse Bed and Breakfast have increased their turnover by 45% over the last quarter and hope to continue to drive their services over the next 9 months. The increase in turnover has given then more money to invest in online marketing and they plan to implement a 12 month marketing strategy towards the end of 2007.
