Business Description

GBL Wheelchairs is a London and Littlehampton that specialises in supplying wheelchairs, daily aids, accessories and scooters. The had a previous website that was out of date and they couldn't update without the help of their web designer.

Project Description

GBL Wheelchairs approached Strawberrysoup as they wanted to create a new e-commerce website which would allow them to promote a wide range of wheelchairs, scooters, power-assisted wheelchairs and sports wheelchairs and selling their related accessories and alike.

We were approached by GBL Wheelchairs who had seen the quality of our e-commerce websites and wanted to work with a reliable team that would both develop the website, but act as consultants and recommend new technology to improve the overall usability of their website.

We decided to create a product wizard on the website which helps end users choose their perfect product/wheelchair. The wizard asks a range of products including maximum speed, maximum range and weight and then displays products that match their search criteria.

Solution

We created their new e-commerce website using our StrawberrySystem CMS and a custom design. The CMS is used by GBL Wheelchairs to add, edit and remove products, update orders, view customers and check payment processing.

The CMS is fully bespoke allowing GBL Wheelchairs to add VAT exempt products, give customers the ability to buy products and not pay VAT (due to them being VAT exempt themselves) and for a wide range of complex delivery options to be available online.
