Business Description

K. Lacey, also trading as K. Lacey Wires and Cables is a privately owned company situated along the South Coast.

Founded in 1970 by Keith and Kathleen Lacey. Initially providing design and engineering work K. Lacey Ltd soon became involved in supplying cables. Over time this became the core business. They are now a well established supplier in the industry to national and international businesses within the Aerospace, Defence/Military, Automotive/Vehicle, Mass Transit, Rail, Marine, Medical, Communication, Electrical and Electronic markets.

Project Description

We were approached by Paradigm Design to build their new website that would instantly portray K Lacey Cables as a professional, innovative business online.

The website was needed primarily as an online brochure, however they needed to be able to upload their own product data-sheets relating to each cable type. They also wanted to be able to update the page content of the site themselves without the need of asking us to do it each time!

Solution

We rebuilt and restructured their website and included a new section called products. This new section allows user to search and view for cable products and then download a data-sheet on each of K Lacey's products.

The website uses our "StrawberrySystem" content management system which allows them to update all the web-pages, add new news stories and upload new brochures and PDF's.

The website was built using fully valid XHTML and CSS which also help us to ensure the website was interoperable between the leading Internet browsers.
