Business Description

South Coast Nursing Homes is a group of care homes that provides the highest standards of care and comfort for the elderly in the Sussex area. The type of care offered is Nursing, Residential, EMI (Elderly & Mentally Infirm) Nursing and EMI Residential.

Project Description

Although South Coast Nursing Homes had a live site, like many websites, they decided that they would like to revitalise the site and add some new functionality.

The new site needed to be engaging and dynamic in terms of appearance. There was also a new challenge of integrating a postcode search facility which needed to link to an interactive map coupled with information on any given care home.

Solution

A great deal of time and effort was spent looking at the user experience of this site as one of the key requirements was for the site to have a ‘hand holding’ approach. Any user is guided through the site in a predictable and efficient manner. At each point there are always key links to encourage the user to make contact with South Coast Nursing Homes which is the main function of the site.

The postcode search is integrated with an interactive map, a user can search for the home which is closest to them based on their postcode. The results are displayed in distance order with the distance displayed. Once a user has identified the desired home they can view a page with more details and an interactive gallery. The Gallery is managed through our StrawberrySystem Content Management System.

Result

The design is inviting and friendly, there are lots of interactive parts of the site making it pleasant to use: Any user will have access to an interactive map which utilises a feed from google maps displaying address details and location. They will also be able to view a generic image gallery which is customisable by South Coast Nursing Homes.

We are extremely proud with the final outcome of this site, it has a fresh new look, it is very easy to use and contains a lot of interactivity. Our latest CMS offers even more functionality and allows greater control for South Coast Nursing Homes.
