Business Description

Travel and Insure offer ethical travel insurance. By ethical, they donate a percentage of all profits to help aid projects in the third world. Travel and Insure is supported by renowned insurance company AXA.

Project Description

The project involved a full e-commerce solution plus the facility for Travel and Insure to administer the whole website backend in-house. They wanted to change insurance policy rates, manage customers, policies, their blog and run a series of very complex reports (or bordeaux's).

The payment side needed to be linked with a payment service provider so that they whole purchasing process was streamlined. The website also needed to tie in ubiquitously with other insurance providers for pet, home and car insurance.

Solution

We were chosen by AXA as they had seen the previous e-commerce solutions that we have created. After running through our content management system, they could see how simple to use and bespoke it could be.

The website was rebuilt from the ground up to encompass all of the new functionality that was required. We created a "quick quote" slider that allows the user to get a quote both quickly and simply.

The website was created following the latest accessibility guidelines and was linked to HSBC payment gateway to process the payments online.

One of the main problems with the old site was that it didn't immediately become apparent that money was being given to the third world. The new design on the site helps to demonstrate this (with the use of colours and imagery).
