Photographer Luke Stephenson has set himself a tasty summer photography challenge – To photograph 99 different 99s from 99 different places across Great Britain!
The idea was born last summer, when Luke spent 25 days travelling the country in a campervan documenting the highs and lows of the ice cream trade in Britain. On this trip, he lives by one rule when buying ice creams – to say yes to whatever he was offered, leading to all sorts of delicious marshmallow-topped, sprinkle-dipped and sauce-drenched masterpieces… Sounds good to us!!
This year, he wants to create a book with a collection of photographs of 99 99s and their birthplaces and he’s turned to Kickstarter to help him do so.
This is a really nice project celebrating a great British tradition with simple yet interesting photography… Now how do I get on board as a taste tester?!
