Adobe launches Lightroom Mobile for iPad and iPhone
The rumours were true! Adobe has released a much-desired mobile version of Lightroom, available on iPad and iPhone for free as part of a Creative Cloud subscription.
While billed as a companion app for the desktop version of Lightroom, with direct syncing allowing you to pick up and continue work on desktop and mobile devices, Pocket-lint describes it as ‘a feature-rich photo processing suite in its own right’.
Lightroom Mobile imports photos straight from your iOS camera roll and your Lightroom portal and you can work with RAW photos and almost any image format with editing tool controls optimised for touch using slider bars showing the adjustments on the image as you slide them across.
It’s a shame it’s only any good for Creative Cloud subscribers, but it’s definitely a welcome addition, particularly for busy photographers who are always out and about.
