About Strawberrysoup (and Us)

Strawberrysoup was officially launched in June 2005 by two university friends (Neil and Keith) who genuinely wanted to make a difference in the design world – and specifically focus on small and medium sized businesses that wanted a professional end product at a price that they could afford.

We knew how many design firms are out there – creative designers, online consultants, graphic designers, editors and millions of web design companies, all saying that they are “the most creative”, “the most professional”, and that they offer a “unique level of service”, but we wanted to be different and create something that our target market, clients and competition would remember.

When we started it was our primary aim to focus on web design and e-commerce websites, so we found markets which were not totally saturated and targetted them. A couple of months in and we found ourselves focusing more and more on search engines – how to get good results for the websites that we have designed – and for other peoples websites.

Search engine optimisation and marketing has now become one of our most popular services that we offer our clients – due to the fact that it goes hand and hand with website design – our clients want a website, but what’s the point of having a website if it cannot be found? We optimise every website that we create by default – we don’t charge our clients extra for SEO – it is included in any price that we quote.

The Future of Strawberrysoup

Now in 2007, we have had a chance to look at what we have done over the past 8 months and are looking at how we can improve our service even more – by offering new products and services that fit into our core skill sets – we think that search engine marketing is going to be a big thing in 2007, with search engines playing a more and more important role in our daily lives, we need to think of new ways to get visitors to look at our websites, attract attention through viral marketing and build effective link campaigns.

We have hired some very skilled designers and creatives this year already, which means that we will be designing websites that are focused much more around higher bandwidth which is becoming available – so multimedia websites, content delivery and media streaming will be much more popular by the end of 2007 than it was a year previously.
