Exhibitions to visit in London during September & October 2013

There are so many art and design exhibitions running at the moment or opening soon that are well worth checking out. Here are some of the highlights that I am hoping to see in the coming weeks…

The London Design Festival – 300 projects across the city

14th – 14nd September

The Design Festival is about to kick off on the 14th in London so it’s a good time to visit the city and see whats happening.

100% Design – Earls Court, London

18th – 21st September

This event has four focus areas: Interiors, Office, Kitchen & Bathrooms and Eco Design & Build. It showcases the latest innovations and features products from both the UK and international designers.

The Future is here – Design Museum, London

24th July – 29th October

There’s still 6 weeks to check out the design museums current exhibition looking at the future of design and what new technologies might be impacting our life soon!

Poster Art 150 – London Transport Museum

15th February 2013 – 5th January 2014

To mark the 150th anniversary of the London underground this is a great chance to see posters from the early 20th century along with a letterpress from the late 19th century

Club to Catwalk – V&A, London

10th July 2013 – 16th February 2014

Great for fashion or 80s lovers, this exhibition looks back at the decades creative explosion.

Australia – Royal Academy of Arts

21st September – 8th December 2013

The UK’s biggest exhibiion of Australian art to date. Spanning 200 years uncovering the country’s social and cultural evolution with 200 pieces of work.

21st September – 16th March

With photos by Tony Ray-Jones and Martin Parr this exhibition looks like a great light hearted look at the english way of life.
