We’re really excited about Unit Edition‘s next book Manuals 1: Design and identity guidelines, a comprehensive study of inspirational brand manuals from the 1960s to the early 80s – ‘the golden era of identity design’.

The book features 21 examples corporate identity design manuals, including ones create for NASA and the 1976 Montreal Olympic games.

Written contributions include content from design writer Adrian Shaughnessy, NASA designer Richard Danne and collectors Greg D’Onofrio and Patricia Belen and interviews with Armin Vit, Sean Perkins and John Lloyd. And of course the book promises brilliant visuals.

It’s awesome that has been produced for everyone to enjoy and for a new generation of designers to be inspired by.

Their last book FHK Henrion: The complete designer is an awesome review of the pioneering designer so we have high hopes for the release of Manuals 1 in Spring!
