Strawberrysoup chosen by Bournemouth & Poole College
Strawberrysoup is delighted to announce that we will be designing a brand new website for the students of Bournemouth and Poole College. We’ve been chosen to create a seamless user experience for students so that they can find and navigate all information required whilst studying at the college. The all encompassing site will serve students to find useful resources, stay up-to-date with the latest events and keep notified of goings on at the Student Union (BPCSU) whilst studying at the college.
The Bournemouth and Poole College Student Union was founded in 1969 and is a crucial part of the on-campus experience for students. As part of the colleges commitment to keeping students up to date, the decision was made to invest in a student-only area in which the student union will sit. The site will host a number of key pages and help the college to better communicate with its existing students.
The way students consume and digest information has long been more prominent on mobile and connected devices, so the aim is to provide a solution which satisfies the needs of the demographic and the devices used to access it. We’ll also be adding e-commerce capabilities to the mobile friendly site so that students can eventually buy event tickets and more using the site.
The college also required a brand refresh and update of the student union profile to provide its own identity in line with the new site design.
We’re developing a brand-new website using an open source CMS and accompanying mobile app to provide a better user experience for students studying at the college. The aim is to not only provide a solution where students can easily navigate what they need from the college, but also to get more involved with extra curricular activities at the campus. The site is to be fully responsive and customised to accommodate an e-commerce functionality so students can purchase merchandise and event tickets online. One of the key factors in using an open source CMS is the ease of which it can be update by staff and faculty at the college, ensuring the fast and effective delivery of important information to students.
Following the brand refresh & update, the site will have its own identity and branding. We’re planning to bring the college closer together with its students and help students to get more involved in all the college has to offer.
