We love cycling here at Strawberrysoup. And when the UK’s fastest growing cycling events series partnered with Garmin and Wiggle and asked us to design digital and print collateral for nationwide sportives we weren’t going to say no!
UK Cycling Events is a dedicated cycling events company, which is passionate about encouraging all abilities of rider to experience the best cycling the UK has to offer.
Their events run in partnership with Garmin and Wiggle who add more to the events with technology and support. With so many events to choose from and each with their own personalities, our client wanted to differentiate each event where possible.
We were asked to help add individual character to each event by providing a unique logo for each.
It was key that they have synergy under the UK Cycling Events umbrella identity, while also being unique and distinctive. This identity would then be applied to event materials and promotional pieces.

“Scarcity of resources (time, namely) breeds innovation right? We worked to a tight deadline to create a unique identity for each and every sportive – we like a challenge!”
We began by sketching out ideas for each sportive, taking into account the geography, history and terrain to help establish a suitable visual theme and style.
With over 40 events there was an emphasis on working closely with the UK Cycling Events to think outside of the box and create a unique idea for each.
We then took all of the ideas on screen to create print-ready artwork.
Each event identity has been designed to allow UK Cycling Events to take control for future events. Locations and dates can be updated quickly and easily.
Each brand has added value to each event but also have given the UK Cycling Events series a more professional and organised feel.
