Job Description:

As a LAMP web developer, you would be implementing client website development projects using a combination of well structured, reusable, modular, annotated code written yourself and open source or prewritten products or source code libraries.

This will be carried out to a project specification, usually prepared by one of our partners, and developing part or an entire client website (static / content managed / e-commerce / bespoke) using PHP, MySQL, jQuery, HTML5 and CSS or other technologies/languages as the job may require.

You will be required to create bespoke websites using our very own StrawberrySystem content management system, build e-commerce websites and liaise with our clients on a day to day basis. You will be working very closely with our head of development and the rest of our development team.

Skills Range:

We are looking for someone that has a minimum of 3 years backend programming experience including:

– Javascript, JQuery
– Ability to create well designed, reusable objects
– Knowledge of client server and internet systems architectures
– Good understanding of complex databases, web concepts and design implications
– Keen to learn
– Well organised and punctual
– A strong team member
– Friendly

The following would also be preferred:

– understanding of AJAX and how to implement it
– knowledge of accessibility
– knowledge of iOS or Android development

The salary for this job is negotiable depending on experience, and you must know how to use both Windows and Mac OSX.
