An enterprise mobile app to enable nimble UK-wide sales teams.
L’Oréal & Redken
Redken is an American hair care brand owned by L’Oréal Group under their Professional Products division. The product is available to purchase at hair salons and from hair care professionals. Redken pioneered the “Scientific Approach to Beauty,” and revolutionised the professional salon business by introducing the concept of protein reconditioning and developing new protein-based products, which they patented.

Redken has a mobile sales force that travels around the UK visiting salons. They collate sales information from the salon owners and use this data to make product recommendations. Previously, the sales team were using old laptops which took an age to boot up, log in, find the necessary information and showcase sales presentations.
We knew there was another way so we recommended using Apple’s iPad as a promotional and information gathering tool.
We developed a series of native apps each focused on a different product and customer type. Each one allows their sales teams to login, retrieve customer information, track sales information and recommend products. All information is stored on a remote AWS hosted database which can be accessed via management back at their head office.
We’ve developed a total of four iPad applications for them to date, all in different guises with varying levels of functionality. Needless to say that we’re really proud of this project and look forward to working with L’Oreal in the future.
